How does the RG-KM low-spin cutting head work?

A conventional strimmer head uses rapidly rotating nylon line or a rotating metal blade. The RG-KM instead uses two cutting blades that move back and forth against one another.

This reciprocating action cuts weeds and grass with lower rotational energy at the head. It is therefore better suited to weed removal on gravel, paving and other areas where flying stones and debris are a particular concern.

Low-spin does not mean that debris cannot be moved. Always clear the working area, wear the recommended personal protective equipment and follow the operating instructions and safety distances supplied by STIHL.
