Description
STIHL REA 100 PLUS at a glance
The STIHL REA 100 PLUS combines full-size pressure-washer features with the portability of the STIHL AP battery system. It delivers 125-bar working pressure and up to 300 litres of water per hour, while the brushless EC motor and variable-pressure control allow the output to be adjusted for different cleaning jobs.
A six-metre high-pressure hose is stored on the integrated hose reel, helping to keep the machine compact and organised between jobs. The supplied three-in-one nozzle allows you to switch between fan-jet, rotary and detergent settings without repeatedly changing separate nozzle attachments.
- 125-bar working pressure and 150-bar maximum pressure
- 270–300 litres per hour water throughput
- Integrated six-metre high-pressure hose reel
- Three-in-one nozzle with fan, rotary and detergent settings
- Variable pressure control for different surfaces and tasks
- 36V STIHL AP battery platform
- 6.7kg tool weight without battery
- IPX5 protection for appropriate outdoor working conditions
- Optional water suction from a suitable container using the separately available suction hose
Is the STIHL REA 100 PLUS right for you?
The REA 100 PLUS is a strong choice for customers who need more cleaning power than a compact portable washer but do not want to depend on a nearby electrical socket. It is especially useful for larger gardens, yards, vehicle-cleaning areas, stables, workshops and properties where an extension lead would be inconvenient.
It is also well suited to customers who already own compatible STIHL AP batteries and chargers. Using an existing battery platform can reduce the cost and storage space involved in adding another cordless machine.
A mains-powered pressure washer may remain the better choice when you always work next to an electrical supply and require uninterrupted operation for prolonged cleaning. For quick rinsing and lighter jobs, a smaller model such as the STIHL RCA 20 may be more convenient.
Key features
125-bar cordless cleaning power
The REA 100 PLUS produces a working pressure of 125 bar and a maximum pressure of 150 bar. This makes it suitable for cleaning patios, paths, outdoor furniture, vehicles, tools and garden machinery when used with the correct pressure setting and working distance.
Start with a wider fan pattern and lower pressure on painted or more delicate surfaces. The rotary nozzle is intended for resistant dirt on durable surfaces and should not be used directly on vehicle paintwork or other easily damaged finishes.
Three-in-one adjustable nozzle
The supplied three-in-one nozzle combines three cleaning functions:
- Fan jet: for general rinsing and controlled cleaning over a wider area
- Rotary jet: for stubborn dirt on robust patios, paving and masonry
- Detergent setting: for applying a compatible cleaning agent through the machine’s detergent system
Rotating the nozzle selects the required mode, reducing the need to carry and exchange separate attachments during a job.
Integrated six-metre hose reel
The high-pressure hose is stored on an integrated reel, helping to prevent loose hose from becoming tangled during transport and storage. The six-metre length provides useful working reach around vehicles, machinery and outdoor areas without making the complete machine unnecessarily bulky.
Variable pressure control
Pressure can be adjusted to suit the surface being cleaned. Lower output is useful for lighter rinsing and can extend battery working time, while higher output is available for more resistant dirt.
Use away from a fixed water supply
When fitted with the optional STIHL suction hose and filter, the REA 100 PLUS can draw clean water from a suitable non-pressurised container. This is useful in areas where a conventional outdoor tap is not available.
Please note: the suction hose and water container are not included with the pressure washer and must be purchased separately. Use only clean water and follow STIHL’s guidance on permitted water temperature, suction height and filtration.
Battery compatibility and working time
STIHL currently recommends the STIHL AP 30 Battery for the REA 100 PLUS. Other compatible batteries can provide different working times and may be suitable if you already use the STIHL AP System.
| STIHL battery | Approximate working time | Buying guidance |
|---|---|---|
| AP 200 S | Approximately 12–30 minutes | A lighter compatible option for shorter cleaning jobs. |
| AP 30 | Approximately 13–43 minutes | STIHL’s current recommended battery for the REA 100 PLUS. |
| AP 300 S | Approximately 14–45 minutes | A compatible high-capacity option for customers who already own this battery. |
| AP 500 S | Approximately 17–50 minutes | Provides the longest working time among these compatible battery options, with additional battery weight and cost. |
Working time varies with the selected pressure, nozzle setting, water supply, temperature, surface and operating technique. Figures should therefore be treated as guidance rather than a guaranteed duration.
Compatibility warning: the STIHL AP 20 cannot be used with the REA 100 PLUS. Check the exact model of any battery you already own or ask Masseys for advice before ordering.

Why Masseys recommends the STIHL REA 100 PLUS
Masseys recommends the REA 100 PLUS to customers who want substantial pressure-washer performance without being tied to a mains electrical socket. Its combination of 125-bar working pressure, variable output, an integrated six-metre hose reel and a three-in-one nozzle makes it more versatile than a compact rinsing tool while remaining easy to transport between cleaning areas.
It is particularly attractive for customers who already own compatible STIHL AP batteries. The same battery platform can be shared with selected STIHL hedge trimmers, blowers, brushcutters, chainsaws and other cordless machinery, helping to reduce the number of separate batteries and chargers required.
We also like that the REA 100 PLUS does not pretend to be the right answer for every user. A smaller RCA 20 may be more convenient for quick rinsing, while a mains-powered RE 100 or RE 120 PLUS may be preferable for continuous work close to a socket. For customers who specifically need stronger cordless cleaning and AP System compatibility, the REA 100 PLUS is the more capable choice.

Frequently asked questions
Does the STIHL REA 100 PLUS include a battery and charger?
No. The REA 100 PLUS is supplied as a tool-only pressure washer. A compatible STIHL AP battery and charger must be purchased separately unless you already own suitable equipment.
Which battery does STIHL recommend for the REA 100 PLUS?
STIHL currently recommends the AP 30 Battery. The AP 200 S, AP 300 S and AP 500 S are also compatible and provide different working times and battery weights.
Can I use a STIHL AP 20 Battery?
No. The AP 20 cannot be used with the REA 100 PLUS.
How long does the REA 100 PLUS run on one battery?
Approximate working time ranges from 12–30 minutes with an AP 200 S to 17–50 minutes with an AP 500 S. The exact result depends heavily on pressure setting, operating conditions and cleaning technique.
Can the REA 100 PLUS work without an outdoor tap?
Yes. With the separately available STIHL suction hose and filter, the machine can draw clean water from a suitable non-pressurised container. The suction hose and container are not included.
Is the STIHL REA 100 PLUS suitable for cleaning a car?
Yes, provided the correct setting and safe working distance are used. Start with the fan-jet mode and reduced pressure, test an inconspicuous area and do not use the rotary jet directly on paintwork or other delicate finishes.
What is the difference between working pressure and maximum pressure?
The machine’s normal rated working pressure is 125 bar. The 150-bar figure is its maximum pressure and should not be interpreted as the continuous operating output.
Is the REA 100 PLUS waterproof?
The machine carries an IPX5 protection rating. This does not mean it should be submerged, stored wet or used contrary to the operating instructions. Follow STIHL’s safety, cleaning and storage guidance.
