The STIHL BF-KM Pick Tine is a compact cultivator attachment for the STIHL KombiSystem. Its 22 cm working width makes it ideal for loosening and re-cultivating soil in flower beds, vegetable plots, borders and other areas where a larger tiller would be difficult to control.
The rotating pick tines help break up compacted, heavy and loamy soil while improving aeration and preparing the ground for planting. The BF-KM can also be used to work compost, fertiliser and soil improver into an existing bed.
Please note: this product is a KombiTool attachment only. A compatible STIHL petrol KombiEngine or cordless KombiMotor is required and is sold separately.
Why choose the STIHL BF-KM Pick Tines?
- 22 cm working width: provides controlled cultivation in narrow beds, borders and confined areas.
- Loosens compacted soil: helps break up heavy and loamy ground before planting.
- Improves soil preparation: useful for aerating beds and working compost, fertiliser or soil conditioner into the ground.
- Compact and manoeuvrable: reaches between plants and into areas where a full-size cultivator may be impractical.
- Splash guard included: helps contain disturbed soil while the tines are working.
- Part of the STIHL KombiSystem: one compatible power unit can operate a wide range of interchangeable garden-maintenance attachments.
What jobs is the BF-KM suitable for?
The STIHL BF-KM cultivator attachment is particularly useful for:
- Rejuvenating established flower beds and planting areas
- Preparing vegetable beds and allotment plots
- Loosening compacted or previously worked soil
- Aerating soil before seasonal planting
- Mixing compost, fertiliser or soil improver into a bed
- Working between plants and around narrow borders
- Maintaining areas that are difficult to reach with a larger tiller
For the best result, remove large stones and avoid forcing the tines into substantial roots or solid obstructions. Always operate the attachment in accordance with the instructions supplied with the BF-KM and your STIHL power unit.
