Coverage depends on the type of wood, surface preparation, sanding grade and absorbency of the timber. Rough, open-grained or highly absorbent wood may require more product. For two coats on new wood, the total finished coverage will be lower than the one-coat figure.

Application Guide

Make sure the wood surface is clean, dry and frost-free before application. Old paints, lacquers and varnishes should be completely removed. Previously oiled surfaces should be cleaned and prepared before recoating.

Sand the wood carefully before oiling. As a guide, final sanding should be approximately P120–150 for flooring and P180–240 for furniture. Remove sanding dust thoroughly with a broom, vacuum or suitable dust removal method.

Stir the tin thoroughly before use. Do not thin.
