The Stihl FS56 C-E Brushcutter has a 27.2 cc engine and a power output of 1.1 bhp. The Stihl FS 56 C-E Brushcutter is a light-weight petrol brushcutter with straight shaft and bike handle and features Stihl Ergoflex for easier starting. Modern appearance, convenient operation and very simple starting procedure are the highlights of the new generation STIHL grass trimmer range. The number of steps needed to start the machine has been drastically reduced. The frustration of a flooded engine is virtually eliminated. New 2-stroke engine with stratified charge allows fast acceleration, low emissions, reduced fuel consumption. You can put a metal blade on the Stihl FS56 and Stihl FS56R, but these are optional extras. If you are looking for a slightly cheaper option then you should consider the Stihl FS55 Brushcutter (Comes with strimmer head) or the Stihl FS70 C-E Brushcutter (Comes with Strimmer Head and Blade) for something slightly larger.

What else will I need to buy with my brushcutter?

• 2-Stroke Oil.
  We advise STIHL MotoMix® which is Stihl’s patented premixed fuel, specially blended for ultimate performance. Like a sports drink for your engine, this 50:1 mixture is a combination of premium non-ethanol, high-octane motor fuel and our highest-quality STIHL HP Ultra oil. Clean and convenient, MotoMix® eliminates the hassle of mixing your own 2-stroke engine fuel while providing superior performance and lubrication. STIHL MotoMix® contains no ethanol, allowing it to maintain stability for up to two years after the seal is broken – so it stays fresh in your equipment during long storage periods. MotoMix® is also made of non-aromatic fuel and fully synthetic, highly biodegradable engine oil.

  Additional strimmer line is always a good idea!Masssey are open 7 days a week and we’re always on hand to help and advise in store.
• Optional Extra
  The STIHL Durocut Head – Rather than struggling to re-wind the strimmer wire, simply pull out the old lines and put in the new ones. Saves time on re-filling the strimmer head. A metal blade is a great option for controlling thick undergrowth.

• Reduced-emission engine technology

  2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20{d09b12be51a7a6a48787a7bc3312473190ccc1fdbfe07795db7f7cb91fdca1cd} lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

  Manual fuel pump (Purger)

  A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.

  STIHL ErgoStart (E)

  STIHL ErgoStart cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. A coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smoothes out force peaks, making them virtually undetectable through the cord itself.

  Simplified starting system

  Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter cord and away you go! The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.

• 

  Bike handle

  When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.

Warranty

Purchased from Masseys – If your machine was purchased from Masseys and it develops a manufacturing fault during the warranty period, simply return the machine to store and our mechanics will repair the machine free of charge. A warranty repair is when the machine has failed because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

Purchased online – If your machine was purchased from elsewhere, then we charge an initial £29.99 inspection charge to look at the machine. This will be refunded if the fault is a warranty issue and when the manufacturer has processed and accepted the warranty claim in full. Warranty for non-Masseys customers is 4-12 weeks as we have a duty to ensure our own customers are prioritised first.
