Stiga lawn tractor mowers range
and forms part of our wider
lawn tractor mowers selection at Masseys.
If you are looking for a compact, high-spec collecting garden tractor with hydrostatic drive, the Stiga Estate 384 is a very strong option.
Key features of the Stiga Estate 384 lawn tractor
- Powerful STIGA engine: STIGA ST 450 engine, 432 cm³ displacement, with 6.8 kW net power output at 2,400 rpm.
- Hydrostatic transmission: Pedal-operated hydrostatic drive for smooth, stepless speed control without changing gears.
- 84 cm twin-blade cutting deck: Cutting width of 84 cm with two blades and two anti-scalp wheels for a consistent finish on uneven ground.
- Rear-collect mowing system: Collecting cutting method as standard with a 240 litre textile grass collector.
- Additional cutting modes: Rear discharge and Multiclip mulching as additional cutting methods when set up with the appropriate accessories.
- Seven cutting heights: 25–80 mm cutting height range with 7 positions, adjusted manually with a lever.
- Reverse mowing: Capable of reverse mowing where conditions and safety allow.
- Large working area: Designed for a mowing area of up to 3,500 m².
- Robust build: Rear-wheel drive, front bumper, pivoting front axle and 15″ / 18″ wheels for stability and traction.
- Included accessories: Mulching kit included, trailer hitch kit included, battery charger optional.
Cutting and collection performance
The Stiga Estate 384 uses an 84 cm cutting deck with two untimed blades, designed to give a clean cut and strong airflow into the rear collector. The minimum uncut radius of 80 cm helps when working around obstacles and tighter areas of the garden.
In standard configuration, the tractor uses a collecting cutting method, directing clippings into the 240 litre rear collector for a tidy, finished appearance. The collector empties manually from the driver’s position, and its textile construction keeps weight manageable while still offering good capacity.
The cutting height range of 25–80 mm is controlled by a manual lever with seven positions, allowing you to raise the deck for longer grass or first cuts, then lower it as the season progresses. Blade engagement is electric, using an electromagnetic clutch for convenient on/off control from the seat.
When you want flexibility beyond collection, the Estate 384 supports rear discharge and Multiclip mulching as additional cutting methods. With the supplied mulching kit and appropriate setup, clippings can be finely chopped and returned to the lawn, or discharged to the rear where collection is not required.
Hydrostatic drive, comfort and controls
The pedal-operated hydrostatic transmission is a key part of the Estate 384’s appeal. Instead of selecting gears, you simply press the pedal to vary your speed:
- Transmission type: hydrostatic.
- Transmission method: pedal-operated.
- Traction: rear-wheel drive.
This makes it easier to adjust speed smoothly around obstacles and through tighter sections of lawn, while keeping both hands on the STIGA new comfort steering wheel.
Driver comfort and usability are supported by:
- Seat type: STIGA new comfort seat with locking knob adjustment.
- Safety system: seat with safety contact breaker to stop the machine if the operator leaves the seat.
- Dashboard: LED dashboard for clear operational information.
- Headlights: conventional headlights for visibility in lower light.
- Front and rear wheels: 15×6.00–6 front wheels and 18×8.50–8 rear wheels for traction and stability.
- Pivoting front axle: helps the deck follow ground contours.
- Washing link: deck wash port for easier cleaning of the cutting deck.
- Storage and convenience: storage compartment and cup holder as standard.
