Bird Brand Complete Wood Protector is built to do two jobs at once: protect outdoor timber and keep it looking good while it does it. The solvent base carries the active ingredients deep into the wood rather than just sitting on the surface, and dry-film biocides in the formula help stop fungal growth and discolouration taking hold. UV-resistant pigments then help the colour hold up under sun exposure, so fences and sheds don’t fade out within a season or two. It’s compatible with both the current and previous Bird Brand Wood Preserver formulas, so it’s a straightforward product to keep using if you’ve treated the same timber with Bird Brand before.

This is a surface protector and colour finish, not an HSE-registered wood preserver — it won’t prevent or treat wood-boring insects, and it doesn’t offer the higher-level fungal resistance of Bird Brand’s Complete+ Superior Wood Preserver. If your timber needs that level of protection (new fencing in a damp, shaded spot, for example, or timber with a known insect risk), Complete+ Superior is the better product. For straightforward colour, UV protection and everyday fungal resistance on healthy timber, Complete Wood Protector is the right call.
