Product Description:
The BreatheDry® Waterproof Smock is a lightweight, high-performance garment tailored for arborists and outdoor professionals. Designed to offer full protection against the elements, it combines waterproof and breathable technologies that meet EN343 Class 3 standards.
The smock features an extended back to direct water away, along with a high collar for added protection. It includes a waterproof zipper, inner placket, and neck guard.
Inside the collar, you’ll find a large adjustable hood, designed to fit over a climbing helmet. The hood has a wired peak for structure, a bungee volume adjuster, and a hook-and-loop storm flap for additional security in harsh weather.
The sleeves are generous in length, featuring soft inner cuffs with thumb loops, and Velcro tabs to keep them snug and watertight. The smock also has a large, waterproof breast pocket suitable for a smartphone, along with a spacious pouch pocket accessible via long side zippers. The mesh-lined pouch pocket doubles as a ventilation point.
Further ventilation is provided by concealed zippers under the armpits, with side zippers allowing easy access when wearing a climbing harness.
The high visibility orange and yellow options conform to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 and GO/RT 3279 (RIS-3279-TOM) standards for enhanced safety on the job.
Maintenance Instructions:
Maintaining the waterproof abilities of your smock is essential for its long-term performance. The fabric is designed to physically block water from passing through, while allowing sweat to escape as vapor. Over time, grease, dust, and dirt can clog the fabric’s membrane, reducing its effectiveness and causing leaks.
We recommend using NikWax TechWash to clean the smock, followed by NikWax TX Direct to restore its waterproof properties. Always follow the product guidelines for best results.
