Stihl MS500i Features

STIHL Injection (i) – This means the Stihl MS 500i is able to achieve extremely high performance with both low displacement and low weight. The saw can achieve rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in an unbelievable 0.25 seconds!

The Stihl MS500i has an amazing power-to-weight ratio thanks to the engine technology and lightweight construction.

The chainsaw is very easy to start whether starting from cold or warm – The starting process is perfect, with no need for a start position, and easy access to the purger.

It has a Stihl 2-MIX engine – the technology saves up to 20 percent of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70 percent compared to traditional Stihl 2-stroke engines.

Sensor-controlled fuel metering – The Stihl MS500i has a pressure and internal temperature sensor in its engine which means the optimum amount of fuel will be delivered quickly to the engine.

HD2 filter with radial seal – The new HD2 air filter, made from PET material prevents the intake of fine dust particles and reduces wear.

Decompression valve – Part of the easy starting system. The valve is pressed to reduce compression when starting.

What is on chainsaw?

• STIHL ElastoStart –  As a result there is a smooth pulling of the starter cord.
• Side-mounted chain tensioning – This makes it easy to tension the chain safely.
• Plunge guide – This is to assist with plunge cuts. It ensures better directional control and safe use during plunge cutting.
• Tool free fuel caps – Special caps to open and close the tank cap quickly without any tools.
• Optimised bumper spikes – This means the saw bites into wood really well when cutting lengths and felling.
• Stihl anti-vibration system – Precisely calculated buffer zones minimise the transfer of engine and saw chain vibrations to the front and rear handles.
• Stihl MS500i chainsaw captive nuts
• Stihl Ematic oil pump – This allows a higher volume of oil to be delivered. It is especially useful in dusty conditions or when using the longer guide bar.
