• Lawn size: Every model has a maximum area rating – from around 400 m² for compact machines to 10,000 m² or more for EPOS™ and larger Stiga robots.
• Garden complexity: Narrow passages, separate zones, trees and flower beds all influence which mower and installation method will work best.
• Slopes and terrain: Some models are better suited to steep or uneven lawns (for example, all-wheel-drive options like the Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD NERA).
• Wire vs wire-free: Traditional boundary wire systems work very well, while EPOS™ and Stiga’s cable-free systems give extra flexibility if you are landscaping regularly.
• Smart features: App control, GPS, voice control and security features vary between models and brands.
