Why choose the Husqvarna Automower 410VE NERA?

Wire-free virtual boundaries

The 410VE NERA does not require a physical perimeter wire. Its virtual boundaries, work areas, transport paths and temporary stay-out zones are created in the Automower Connect app. This makes it easier to alter the mowing layout when flower beds, play equipment or other garden features change.

The mower receives satellite correction data through the Husqvarna Cloud at no additional subscription cost. This requires cellular or Wi-Fi internet coverage across the full lawn area. Where suitable internet coverage is not available, the optional Husqvarna EPOS RS1 reference station can provide correction data locally.

AI vision object detection and avoidance

A built-in camera uses AI vision to identify objects and respond according to the type of object detected. The camera works alongside the satellite navigation system and can help the mower continue covering areas where the satellite signal is temporarily weaker. Infrared capability also supports object detection in low-light conditions.

Object detection is an assistance system rather than a substitute for safe operation. The lawn should still be kept clear of small objects, and the mower should always be used in accordance with the operator’s manual.

EdgeCut reduces manual trimming

The EdgeCut system uses a second cutting disc positioned towards the rear of the mower to cut closer to lawn edges. It significantly reduces the amount of finishing work normally required with a grass trimmer, although the final result will still depend on the design and level of the lawn edge.

Selectable mowing patterns

For a more formal finish, systematic mowing can create striped, checkerboard or triangle patterns. You can also select irregular mowing for a softer, carpet-like appearance. The maximum area is 1,500 m² when using systematic mowing and 1,000 m² when using irregular mowing.

Custom work areas and stay-out zones

Automower Zone Control lets you divide the lawn into separate work areas with different cutting heights and schedules. Temporary stay-out zones can be added around seasonal flowers, children’s play areas, garden projects or sections that should not be mown.

Quiet, connected and easy to manage

The 410VE NERA has a perceived sound level of 60 dB(A). Through Automower Connect, you can change schedules, adjust the cutting height, view the mower’s status and position, receive notifications and install firmware updates over the air.

Is the Automower 410VE NERA right for your garden?

The 410VE NERA is particularly well suited to:

  • lawns between approximately 900 m² and 1,500 m² when systematic mowing is used;
  • gardens where a physical boundary wire is not wanted;
  • lawns with multiple zones, paths, islands or temporary exclusion areas;
  • owners who want app control, remote status updates and adjustable schedules;
  • gardens where EdgeCut can reduce routine trimming around suitable borders.

A garden suitability assessment is recommended where there is dense tree cover, tall buildings close to the lawn, narrow passages, steep boundary edges, several disconnected lawn areas or weak mobile and Wi-Fi coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Husqvarna Automower 410VE NERA need a boundary wire?

No. The 410VE NERA uses satellite-based virtual boundaries rather than a physical perimeter wire. The map is created and managed in the Automower Connect app.

What size lawn can the 410VE NERA mow?

It can maintain up to 1,500 m² with systematic mowing. When irregular mowing is selected, the recommended maximum area is 1,000 m².

Does it need an EPOS reference station?

Not in every garden. The mower can receive satellite correction data through the Husqvarna Cloud when cellular or Wi-Fi internet coverage is available across the full lawn. The optional EPOS RS1 reference station is used where suitable internet coverage is unavailable.

Can the 410VE NERA mow under trees?

Its AI vision works with satellite navigation and can help maintain coverage in areas with temporarily weaker satellite reception. Dense tree cover, tall buildings and enclosed areas can still affect positioning, so a garden survey is advisable where signal conditions may be difficult.

How steep a slope can it handle?

The maximum slope performance is 30% inside the installation and 20% at the virtual boundary.

Does EdgeCut remove the need for trimming?

EdgeCut reduces the strip of uncut grass left at suitable lawn edges, so considerably less manual trimming may be needed. It cannot guarantee a completely trim-free edge in every garden because the result depends on the border design and ground level.

Can it avoid toys, pets and wildlife?

The AI vision camera detects and identifies many objects and adjusts the mower’s behaviour accordingly. It should not be treated as a guarantee that every small object or animal will always be detected. Keep the lawn clear and follow the safety instructions in the operator’s manual.

Can I control the mower while away from home?

Yes. Cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity allow remote control, status information and notifications through the Automower Connect app, subject to network availability.

Can the 410VE NERA create lawn stripes?

Yes. Its systematic mowing patterns include stripes, checkerboard and triangle patterns.

Is professional installation available?

Yes. Masseys offers a garden assessment, installation and handover service. Each installation is individually priced according to the lawn and site requirements.
