Moorland Peat Free Multi-Purpose compost has been formulated with base fertiliser, wetting agent and more in our sister branded bag. Full of all essential nutrients and added organic matter from biofibres provides most plants a superior growing medium. Perfect for all plants except calcifuges (Acid Loving) such as Heathers, Hydrangeas, Leucothoe, Magnolia & Pernettya.

Usually this has been the best peat free compost I could find, black, well rotted and a fine, even texture. The last lot was not so good, brown, not fully broken down, and solid with white fungus. I’ve broken it up and used it, not sure how successfully yet. I suspect they’ve upped their production and not composted it for long enough.
