The Husqvarna 450 has a powerful 50.2 cc engine with a 2.4 kW / 3.2 hp power output and the machine weighs 5.1 kg without the bar and chain. It features a Husqvarna X-Torq engine that reduces fuel consumption by up to 20 percent and emissions by up to 75 percent over conventional 2 stroke engines without the compromise of power! Just as a conventional two-stroke engine, the air/fuel mix enters the crankcase as normal. However, in Husqvarna’s X-TORQ engine, there is a second stream of unmixed, cleaner air moving through the piston and entering the transfer ports at the upper end. This unmixed, cleaner air then becomes the first element that enters the cylinder.

The chainsaw also has an air purge to get fuel in to the carburetor for easier starting and it has an air injection system that pre-cleans the air before it reaches the ngine reducing engine wear and extending service intervals. The chainsaw also has Husqvarna Low Vib anti-vibration dampeners which make it more comfortable for the end user.

Warranty

Purchased from Masseys – If your chainsaw was purchased from Masseys and it develops a manufacturing fault during the warranty period, simply return the chainsaw to store and our mechanics will repair the machine free of charge. A warranty repair is when the machine has failed because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

Purchased online – If you chainsaw was purchased from elsewhere, then we charge an initial £29.99 inspection charge to look at the machine. This will be refunded if the fault is a warranty issue and when the manufacturer has processed and accepted the warranty claim in full. Warranty for non-Masseys customers is 4-12 weeks as we have a duty to ensure our own customers are prioritised first.
